Кислые осадки

Кислые осадки — атмосферные осадки в виде дождя или снега, подкисленные (величина водородного показателя pH < 5,6) из-за растворения в них кислотообразующих промышленных выбросов (загрязняющих веществ): SO2, NOx, HCl и др.

К.о. вызывают ацидификацию (подкисление или закисление) почвы, водоёмов и приводят к повреждению живых организмов (гибель рыбы, снижение прироста лесов и т.д.).
