Кадастр — систематизированный свод сведений о качественных и количественных характеристиках объекта, составляемый периодически или путём непрерывных наблюдений. К. может включать рекомендации по использованию объектов или явлений, меры по их охране.

Различают земельный К., водный К., лесной К., детериорационный (об ухудшении среды) К., промысловый К. и др.
