Естественная защищённость подземных вод - совокупность гидрогеологических условий (глубина залегания подземных вод, литология зоны аэрации, наличие водоупорных перекрытий и др.), обеспечивающая предотвращение проникновения загрязняющих веществ в водоносные горизонты.
