Стирка одежды загрязняет реки

В прошлом, 2020 году, фонд «Без рек как без рук» проанализировал загрязнение микропластиком Волги. На основе спектрометрических исследований были сделаны выводы об основных источниках загрязнения. Небольшую часть (1%) составляет так называемый первичный пластик (абразивы и скрабы, которые добавляются в косметику), а 99% — вторичный микропластик, поступаемый из домохозяйств. В свою очередь, он делится на 3 части: половина — это волокна, которые остаются от стирки одежды (например, флиса), 25% — это плёнка и ещё 25% — так называемые осколки (бесформенные части, остающиеся от пластиковых пакетов и посуды).

Как сообщил РИА Новости генеральный директор фонда «Без рек как без рук» Олег Ломаков, это иллюзия, что пластиковое изделие не разрушается. Оно может разрушиться на составные части и стать загрязнителем, который невозможно собрать.

Но, согласно проведённому исследованию, существуют очистные сооружения, которым по плечу справиться с микропластиком. Например, сток города Чебоксары, где недавно были сменены фильтры, почти не даёт вторичного пластика, оставляя речную воду чистой.
