Выброс — кратковременное или за определённое (час, сутки) время поступление в окружающую (предприятие, группу предприятий или человека) среду любых загрязнителей.

Различают: 1) В. от отдельного источника; 2) суммарный В. на площади города, региона, государства, их группы, мира в целом.
