В США найдены новые устойчивые к антибиотикам бактерии

Биологи из США нашли у каждого третьего пациента клиник Хьюстона (штат Техас) неизвестный ранее штамм супербактерий. Как сообщается, новые супербактерии оказались устойчивы к действию почти всех антибиотиков. По словам учёных, таких микробы развиваются в основном в больницах, а также животноводческих фермах, где интенсивно применяются антибиотики.

Антибиотики заставляют эволюционировать резистентные микроорганизмы и не позволяют обычным бактериям вытеснить менее плодовитые супермикробы.

Биологи изучили геномы более 1 700 разновидностей Klebsiella pneumoniae, которые были обнаружены у пациентов в Техасе в течение последних четырёх лет. Выяснилось, что примерно треть пациентов являются носителями потенциально крайне опасного штамма этих бактерий.

По словам учёных, этот ранее неизвестный штамм CG307 устойчив к действию практически всех антибиотиков. Он научился вырабатывать ферменты — так называемые металл-бета-лактамазы, которые способны нейтрализовать молекулы самых мощных антибиотиков. Доля этой супербактерии в популяции больничных микробов продолжает расти.

На сегодняшний день учёные не нашли эффективных методов борьбы с ним. Сейчас команда биологов пытается выявить антибиотики, способные хотя бы частично воздействовать на CG307. В их планах — составить список возможных вариантов лечения и предотвратить дальнейшую эволюцию инфекции.
