Человечество

Человечество — вся совокупность людей, населяющих землю. В пределах человечества различают три основные группы рас: негроидную (экваториальную), европеоидную (европейско-азиатскую) и монголоидную (азиатско-американскую).

Ряд учёных рассматривают четыре или пять рас. При внешнем отличии социально-биологически они идентичны. Численность людей в 1989 г. Превысила 5 млрд. Число народов мира — около 2000.

Человечество — единое глобальное образование, по выражению В.И. Вернадского, (новая геологическая сила). Смотри раса, человек.
