Цветение воды

Цветение воды — массовое развитие фитопланктона в водоёме, сопровождающееся изменением окраски (цветности) воды.

Вызывается неблагоприятными изменениями водного режима (застой воды, загрязнение органическими веществами и минеральными удобрениями, засорение и др.); ухудшает кислородный режим водоёма, вызывает заморы рыб и других водных животных.
