Ферменты — специфические белки, присутствующие во всех живых клетках и играющие роль биологических катализаторов. Резистентность организмов к специфическим поллютантам (например, пестицидам различных классов) обусловлена активностью специфических Ф., способных расщеплять эти соединения в организме до нетоксичных продуктов.
