Токсины

Токсины — ядовитые вещества, образуемые несколькими микроорганизмами, растениями и животными.

По химической природе Т. — полипептиды и белки. Иногда термин «токсины» распространяется и на ядовитые вещества небелковой природы. Наиболее изучены микробные Т., которые делятся на -экзо и —эндотоксины.

Экзотоксины экскретируют в окружающую среду во время роста, а эндотоксины — после гибели организмов.
