Сравнительный метод изучения ландшафтов

Сравнительный метод изучения ландшафтов — сопоставление и выявление сходства и различий свойств, состояний, процессов двух или более ландшафтов, как рядом расположенных, существующих в одно и то же время, так и отдалённых в пространстве и во времени.

С.м. используется как базовый при разработке классификаций, районировании, генерализации, оценке, прогнозировании.

Один из вариантов С.м. — метод аналогов, т.е. нахождение территорий со сходными в том или ином отношении свойствами, состояниями, процессами.
