Резерват — 1) территория, на которой особо охраняется вид или группа видов, иногда весь природный комплекс; отличают болотные, ботанические (лесные, растительные и т.п.), зоологические (фаунистические, орнитологические, энтомологические и т.п.), охотничьи, природные (ландшафтные) и др. виды резерват;

2) места временного скопления некоторых животных, связанного с циклом развития вида (например, саранчи, клопа-черепашки).
