Регулирование речного стока

Регулирование речного стока — перераспределение во времени объёма речного стока в замыкающем створе, выражающееся в его увеличении или уменьшении в отдельные периоды по сравнению с ходом поступления воды на поверхность водосбора.

Регулирование речного стока может происходить естественным путём и осуществляться искусственно в соответствии с требованиями водопользователей и водопотребителей, а также в целях борьбы с наводнениями.
