Ортогенез

Ортогенез — концепция развития живой природы исходящая из того, что эволюция организмов происходит в строго определённых природой направлениях, обусловлены её внутренними факторами.

Ортогенез отрицает творческую роль естественного отбора в возникновении приспособлений у организмов, признавая идею изначальной целесообразности в природе.

В наиболее развёрнутом виде теорию ортогенеза изложил немецкий учёный Т. Эймер (1843-1898) в 1888 г. Одно из современных направлений ортогенеза — номогенез. Ортогенез обычно противопоставляется дарвинизму.
